Now the transfer saga may have reached its end as, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, director Ausilio has successfully struck a deal with the English club.

It is believed that terms have been reached on an initial loan deal thanks to Podolski agreeing to a pay-cut to make up the difference between the fee Inter are prepared to pay and Arsenal’s requested amount.

The Gazzetta report that the player is expected to land in Italy tonight, with a view to passing his medicals and signing officially for Inter in time to face Juventus next week.

Sky Sport Italia also report that he will fly into Linate Airport this evening and undergo medical examinations tomorrow ahead of signing off on the loan, which will reportedly cost Inter €600,000.
