Palermo sporting director Sean Sogliano has appealed for patience, and promised the team is working to correct itself for Cagliari‘s visit.

Sogliano gave his thoughts on the weekend defeat to Atalanta, and reflected – as Maurizio Zamparini did earlier this week – that there was a fine line between the draw and eventual defeat the Rosanero suffered.

“We did not deserve to lose – perhaps Atalanta had a better approach than us, but we did not deserve to lose. It could equally have been a draw, and then we would be talking about continuity of results.

“Definitely we can do better, put more determination in, and already feel different with Cagliari on Wednesday.

“However, we must be calm, patient, there is no need to make a drama of a defeat. We think only of tomorrow’s game against Cagliari.

“The team is working, we know where we things have gone wrong, and we are preparing for the game against the Sardinians.

“There is no need to talk about individuals, here we only talk about the team, not individual performances.”

The latter comment is perhaps with goalkeeper Alexandros Tzorvas in mind, and his mistake that played a part in Atalanta’s winning goal at the weekend.
