Boca Juniors President Daniel Angelici confirmed they “will try” to sign Daniel Osvaldo from Inter.

The striker is on the market and frozen out of the squad after he attempted to attack teammate Mauro Icardi during a 1-1 draw with Juventus, then hurled abuse at Coach Roberto Mancini.

“Osvaldo confessed to me that he is a big Boca fan,” Angelici told Sky Sport Italia.

“I know what he won outside of Argentina, but we need to understand if he can deal with the difficulties of our football.

“It seems to me a difficult move, but our directors are talking to his representatives and we will try to sign him.”

Osvaldo is actually owned by Southampton, but was told to leave after head butting teammate Jose Fonte during a training session over the summer.

He joined Inter on loan in August and his fiery personality threatens to end this experience early too.

Cagliari, Torino and Milan have also shown an interest in giving Osvaldo another chance in Serie A.
