Dinamo Zagreb and Croatia striker Duje Cop has agreed his transfer to Cagliari. “I can’t wait to get started.”

The 24-year-old arrived yesterday for his medical and the deal was confirmed this morning.

“I had a wonderful time at Dinamo and have many friends here, so this experience gave me a great deal,” Cop told the club website.

“I grew up as a player and as a man, so I want to thank all the Coaches and teammates I worked with here.

“However, after two and a half years, I wanted to try something new. Serie A and Cagliari are certainly a big challenge and I can’t wait to get started at my new club.”

The Sardinians have revamped the squad with the arrival of Zeljko Brkic from Udinese, defender Alejandro Gonzalez from Verona and Sparta Prague midfielder Josef Husbauer.
