The 27-year-old has been suggested as one of the Rossoneri's options to reinforce the wing, but according to Armando Vangioni, the player's father and agent, these stories have no weight behind them.

“The news that emerged about Leonel in these past few days are not real,” said the agent today to MilanNews.it.

“He is completely committed to River Plate. The team has a lot of games to play and will have to play the Libertadores [Cup] too.

“I don't know who starts these rumours surrounding Milan because he has only River Plate in his mind. The early part of 2015 will be very busy for him and he wants to do well.

“We're grateful to the Italian Press that always speaks so well about my son. He is emerging from a sensational season by winning the American Cup, and the prize establishes him as one of the best players in South America.”
