Rumours are growing that Lazio have agreed a deal with West Ham United’s Ravel Morrison, with media in England now picking up the story.

Reports from Italy suggested this week that the Aquile have signed a pre-contract agreement with the former Manchester United man, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

Now British newspaper the Daily Mail has picked up the story, stating that while Lazio cannot acquire the player in January as he’s played for two clubs [West Ham and Cardiff] this season, a deal has been agreed for the summer.

It is thought that the Hammers are happy to let Morrison leave Upton Park, but would probably demand a development fee for the player.

The 21-year-old was described as “a brilliant footballer” by former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, according to West Ham manager Sam Allardyce, but has struggled with off-field issues.
