“How do we react to that defeat? We must react with a different performance, as this is a completely different game,” said the Coach.

“I don’t think it’ll be tough to do better than losing 6-1…. We made so many mistakes, lacked concentration and allowed Juve opportunities they tend to thrive in.

“As Buffon said, it’ll be a different Verona and there will be different players too. Luca Toni trained and is available after suffering from flu.

“Against the big clubs you need to make as few mistakes as possible, because world class players won’t let you get away with them. Juve’s only genuinely great goal was by Kingsley Coman, as Verona gave them a helping hand in the other five.

“I am sure we’ll do better than on Thursday. I am proud of the mentality I instilled in this squad over five years and I trust it’ll be back at the fore.”
