Parma have officially signed Atletico Madrid midfielder Cristian Rodriguez and Silvestre Varela from West Brom.
The duo had already taken part in today’s training session with their new teammates at the Collecchio training ground.
This evening the club released two statements confirming the transfers had been completed.
Rodriguez arrives on a six-month loan from Atletico Madrid and will wear the number 24 jersey.

Midfielder Varela is also on loan from Porto, though he had spent the last six months at West Bromwich Albion.
The Portugal international has chosen shirt number 26.
‘El Cebolla’ Rodriguez took to Twitter in order to salute the Atletico Madrid fans.
“First of all, thank you to my teammates, the fans and the club for the respect and treatment I received there.
“When I arrived from Atletico, it was amazing to see that they hadn’t won a trophy or a derby for such a long time.
“Now, seeing the team that wins and is among the best in the world really makes me happy.
“Thank you to everyone for the messages of support via social networks. Thank you for the calls I received from my teammates, physiotherapists and all those who work for Atletico and wished me the best.”
