President Silvio Berlusconi is reportedly ‘extremely worried’ about Milan and apparently has been ‘losing money for years’ with the club.
The Cavaliere was recently reported as having described the team’s dip in form to start 2015 with as ‘unacceptable’, before then being seen to deny these statements to Adriano Galliani and Pippo Inzaghi yesterday.
On from this episode, the Corriere della Sera report on other statements Berlusconi is believed to have uttered this week in political circles.
“I am extremely worried,” he has said, as reported by the publication.
“If I don't get into the Champions League this year again, that's €60-70m of missed income.
“I've been losing money for years with Milan.”
Berlusconi is again expected to be at Milanello on Friday to talk with the team, whilst he is reported as having also expressed doubts as to why an out-and-out striker is not being employed in the team’s attacking trident.
