Inter director Piero Ausilio reportedly met with Southampton and QPR to discuss the Daniel Osvaldo situation.

The striker has been suspended by the club after going AWOL for two days, not attending training sessions or telling anyone of his whereabouts.

He had already been frozen out of the squad for attempting to attack Mauro Icardi during a 1-1 draw with Juventus because the team-mate didn’t pass him the ball.

He had already been frozen out of the squad for attempting to attack Mauro Icardi during a 1-1 draw with Juventus because the team-mate didn’t pass him the ball.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter director of sport Ausilio flew to London today and had meetings with both Southampton – who still own the player – and QPR.

The Nerazzurri have no intention of seeing out the rest of Osvaldo’s season-long loan due to his behaviour.

It’s reported QPR offered to loan Adel Taarabt to Inter in exchange for Osvaldo over the next six months.

Failing that, Inter could try to terminate the loan contract and send the 29-year-old striker back to Southampton.

As for Osvaldo, Sport Mediaset maintain he wants a transfer to Inter's city rivals Milan.
