Lazio confirmed they need a new striker after Filip Djordjevic’s fracture, open to Brayan Perea and Mario Balotelli.

Djordjevic will be out of action for at least three months after fracturing his right ankle during last night’s 3-1 win over Milan.

The Serbian centre-forward will go under the knife to stabilise the fracture, most likely on Tuesday morning.

“Unfortunately we’ve lost Djordjevic and I fear it will be a long recovery process,” President Claudio Lotito told Mediaset Premium.

“We’ll see if we need reinforcements in attack, as we do have several players currently out on loan and could recall them. I’ll talk to the Coach and discuss what the options are.

“I’d like to remind everyone that we still have Perea and would like to bring him back from Perugia.”

The 21-year-old Colombian has scored just one goal in 16 Serie B games with Perugia, so Lazio may want to aim higher if they are to challenge for third place.

Felipe Anderson is also out of action for at least another three weeks, so Lotito was again asked about reports they could ask for Balotelli on loan from Liverpool.

“We said our market is open all year round, but only players with certain characteristics can come here. In any case, I haven’t spoken to his agent Mino Raiola.”
