“It’s a shame, as the game changed with that great move from Pogba. Until that moment, Juve had created few genuine scoring opportunities.
“Against the big clubs you need to make the most of your chances and any favourable situations. We’ll try to take the positives from this game.
“It’s a long road towards safety and many matches to go. We must continue along our path and try to put together consistent performances.”
Nicolas Frey was stretchered off after a nasty clash of heads with Patrice Evra.
“It’s just a scratch,” assured Maran, but the defender is being kept in hospital for observation anyway.
