Ex-Milan director Ariedo Braida has reportedly been appointed new international sporting director at Barcelona.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the 68-year-old transfer guru has been chosen as a replacement for Andoni Zubizarreta.

Barcelona completely revamped their backroom staff last month after Zubizarreta was sacked, swiftly followed out of the door by club legend Carles Puyol.

Braida had worked for Milan for over 28 years, eventually leaving in 2013.

He took on a job briefly at Sampdoria, but left when the Blucerchiati were bought out by new owners in May 2014.
