The Rosanero have today confirmed on their website that Vazquez has penned a new deal until June 2019, whilst Maresca has committed for a further 12 months to June 2016, and Andelkovic has renewed until June 2017.

The Sicilian club held a Press conference in which all three of the players expressed their feelings about the news.

“I'm just thinking of Palermo and doing well till the end of the season, then we'll see,” said Vazquez, in a video published on the club’s official site.

“I don't think about the future, I just think of doing well here. What matters is that the team does well.

“Things have been going fine so far, let's hope they stay that way.”

Andelkovic also considered his extension.

“I'd like to thank the club, I'm glad to renew,” said the 28-year-old Slovenian. “I must work hard, that's my objective.

“We are all friends here, and according to what the Coach decides we must all work well.

“That's how I look at things. I've got to work and improve.”

Veteran Maresca, meanwhile, was proud at his new contract.

“If there's a renewal, it means there's the esteem of someone making decisions, so it's certainly a source of pride for me,” said the 34-year-old.

“There's no vindication of any kind. I'm just happy because my work was appreciated.

“This is a team that was born with the objective of saving itself from relegation. Once we've reached the target of 40 points we can think of other things, but for now that's all we can concentrate on.”

Palermo also announced today the signing of Jajalo by means of a statement on their site.

“Palermo communicates the signing of Mato Jajalo”, reads the communication.

“The Croatian midfielder, born in 1988, chose the shirt-number 28 and signed a contract until the 30th of June 2019.

“The new signing, who will undergo his medical today at the Institute of Medicine and Sport of the Palermo Hospital, is already taking part in the first training with [Coach Giuseppe] Iachini.

“The player will be presented in the next days.”
