Roberto Donadoni confirmed Gabriel Paletta “has been sold” to Milan and critics of Parma “disgust me.”

Paletta was on the bench for tonight’s 3-1 defeat at San Siro and the Coach confessed it was because a transfer has already been agreed.

"We are down to the details and it'll be completed with Milan tomorrow," director Antonello Preiti told Sport Mediaset.

“I know that he is a player who Parma sold, so that is why he was on the bench. I don’t know who he has been sold to, that will become clear tomorrow,” Donadoni told Sky Sport Italia.

“We were defeated again, despite having some good chances in the first half and paying a heavy price for a penalty that… well, maybe Guida doesn’t like me, as every time he gives something against us.

“We had some opportunities with Varela and then conceded two goals in a terribly naive fashion. The players had nothing left at that stage after the Coppa Italia game midweek, as they were just exhausted.”

Donadoni talked repeatedly about ‘dignity’ for Parma in their current financial crisis, as players haven’t been paid since July 2014.

Antonio Cassano terminated his contract because of this and aimed several vicious jibes at Donadoni via the media.

“I saw complete dignity tonight. It is our duty to do everything within our capabilities in every game, but that is clearly difficult in a situation like this. We have no other option,” continued the Coach.

“I owe it to my lads, to the fans, to the club and to myself. The rest is just chatter and I am frankly tired of hearing chatter from people who only talk at the opportune moment and forget the past. These things disgust me.

“I just want to honour my profession all the way, which is what these players are trying to do too. I don’t want to cause controversy. If I have something to say to someone, I do it face to face. I find messages via other systems completely pointless.”
