Franco Vazquez said Palermo had “the perfect performance” to beat Napoli 3-1 and hopes to play for Italy.

‘Il Mudo’ was on target along with Achraf Lazaar and Luca Rigoni at the Stadio Barbera this evening.

“I thought it was the perfect performance and we won the most important game,” Vazquez told Sky Sport Italia.

Vazquez is forming a remarkable partnership with Paulo Dybala, but few expect the latter to still be in Sicily next term.

“Paulo is having a great season and it is certainly difficult to keep him here, but we’ll see what happens in June.”

Vazquez is from Argentina, but has an Italian passport and confirmed he is open to a call from Antonio Conte.

“I do everything I can to take Palermo as high as possible, then we will see. Of course I would love to play for Italy, as it is one of the strongest national teams in the world.”
