Claudio Marchisio says Juventus are targeting the Champions League final, as he looks to the Borussia Dortmund tie.
The Bianconeri face Jurgen Klopp’s men on Tuesday, seeking to put themselves in the driving seat to secure qualification for the quarter finals.
“We always try to win, our goal is to reach the final,” Marchisio told Sky.
“The games against Borussia Dortmund will say a lot about where we stand. We almost didn’t make the second round, now we have to demonstrate that we can aim for the maximum.

“The important thing is to get through this round, that’s the only thing that interests me and the team.
“We have the first leg at home, it will be important to play with maximum focus and exploit the boost our fans can give us.
“Are we on a par with the top European clubs? With Dortmund definitely, and with a bit of luck Real Madrid, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain too.
“We’ll play on a par with Dortmund and see how it turns out.”
The match represents a rekindling of an old European rivalry from the 1990s, and Marchisio has fond memories of those clashes.
“I followed all the games, there were a lot of Champions League finals for Juve in those years.
“I was glued to the TV following the Bianconeri. I remember the Borussia games, especially in the ‘90s.
“In ’93 we won the UEFA cup, and in the Champions League final there was that great [Alessandro] Del Piero backheel, [but] Borussia won the trophy.
“In those years the two teams dominated their respective leagues.”
