Although they’ve given the club extra time to pay their wages, it’s reported Parma’s players have sent their contracts to the AIC.

Originally, the playing squad was due to serve an official notice on the club if they hadn’t received wages by yesterday, but they collectively decided to give the club more time.

However, according to Tuttomercatoweb the players have sent their contracts to the AIC, which will then be handed to the lawyers of the union in order to formally demand payment, which would tip Parma into administration.

It’s thought that the players are still willing to wait for what they are owed, but are taking precautions in case the money doesn’t materialise.

Club President Giampietro Manenti has promised that salaries will be paid ‘today or tomorrow’, but Tuttomercatoweb says official litigation is prepared.

The website believes that the players have been told to wait a few days before any action, as this would allow them to claim for January’s wages too.

Even if salaries do arrive, the club still faces a bankruptcy hearing over unpaid tax on March 19.
