President Erick Thohir has dinner with the Inter youth squad and speaks of his global vision for the club's academies.
The Nerazzurro youngsters conquered the Coppa Carnevale on Monday last week and have already received compliments by senior Coach Roberto Mancini, among others.
Thohir met with the squad for dinner tonight and released some statements to Inter Channel on the way.
“I like being here in Appiano,” he said. “Winning this Cup is a source of pride for us.
“I hope our Academy can keep developing like this.
“Next year we'll have some players leaving, others coming in, but I think the generation of '97 can make for a good team too.
“Let's hope we have a good team again next year.”
The President previously declared how keen he was in developing the youth sector, and he insisted today how important the Nerazzurri prospects were.
“That's why I'll be having dinner with all of them tonight.
“To celebrate their victory, naturally, but also to show that our investment in the youth academy is real.
“Of course, we'll be revising the system to make sure it gets even better in the future.
“We had a long meeting with the Inter Academy branches in Miami and Japan, because we want to make sure that our vision is being adopted globally.
“I've also been in touch with the Inter Academy in Saudi Arabia. It was nice to meet them.
“They are our partners in the world, and it's positive to have them by our side.”
