The Granata became the first Italian team ever to win at the San Mames, earning a 3-2 victory in the Europa League on Thursday, then saw off the Partenopei 1-0 this evening.

“Is is the perfect week? It’s certainly one of the best I’ve ever experienced at Torino,” smiled captain Glik on Sky Sport Italia.

“We have an important month ahead of us full of tough fixtures. We’re in good shape and ready for this psychologically too, so we hope to keep going.”

Defender Glik scored the winning goal, his sixth of the season in Serie A.

“I am happy when my goals bring points to the team. It doesn’t really matter who scores as long as Torino win.”

Toro are now unbeaten in 12 Serie A rounds – their best run since 1980 – and can break back into the top six at this rate.

“The table is pretty tight, so we just need a victory or two to get back into the running. We have to keep our feet on the ground, though.”
