The FIGC President said yesterday that a scheme was in place to ensure that the Ducali finish the season, as they struggle to avoid bankruptcy.

According the Corriere dello Sport, the plan has three main elements. The first is that funds will be raised from the other Serie A clubs in order to pay the Emilian side’s costs for the rest of the season.

In addition, the local authority will be asked to cover the costs of hosting matches at Stadio Tardini, and of course there would need to be an agreement with the players.

However, it’s believed the implementation of these measures would prove difficult from a legal standpoint, as there is unease about handing over money to current President Giampietro Manenti.

Until the club’s bankruptcy hearing on March 19, Manenti cannot legally be prevented from owning the club, and handling any finances which may be provided.

Meanwhile, the same newspaper reports that former President Tommaso Ghirardi is facing an investigation for bankruptcy fraud relating to his presidency.
