Cristian Rodriguez will face a four-game ban if he ever returns to Serie A, after being sent off this weekend.

The Lega Serie A has announced this week’s disciplinary measures, and the Brazilian, who has since joined Gremio has been hit with a heavy sanction.

Given a one-match ban for the two yellow cards he received in the 0-0 draw with Atalanta, Rodriguez then ‘violently grabbed the left arm’ of the referee, for which he has been given a three-game ban.
