Shkodran Mustafi visited his old Sampdoria teammates and told them not to “set limits” as they fight for Europe.

The Valencia defender left over the summer and was in Genoa today to attend a training session.

“I try to watch Sampdoria games whenever I can. They are growing week by week and doing some truly great work.

“They also have a Coach and a club who know what they want and that represents a bonus.

“Like my Valencia, I don’t think Sampdoria should set themselves any limits. In my view in football you can achieve anything if you plan well and do it the right way.

“Sampdoria have quality and everything necessary to reach an important objective.”
