Inter defender Juan Jesus received “proposals,” said his agent, but is happy to remain with the Nerazzurri.

The Brazilian centre-back is still only 23, but has become a mainstay at San Siro since arriving from Internacional in January 2012.

“Inter have always been very supportive of him, as he’s played practically every game with every Coach in charge,” representative Roberto Calenda told FcInternews.it.

“Between Coppa Italia, Serie A, Europa League and friendlies he has already played over 100 matches.

“Inter have always been very supportive of him, as he’s played practically every game with every Coach in charge,” representative Roberto Calenda told FcInternews.it.

“Between Coppa Italia, Serie A, Europa League and friendlies he has already played over 100 matches.

“He never holds back and that is why at times he plays even when he ought to rest. I have to laugh when I hear someone criticising him as they seek a scapegoat in defence.”

Despite some of that tension, Juan Jesus has no intention of walking away.

“Juan is always the focus of interest from clubs, that’s only normal. He plays in a big club, he’s in the Brazil squad and above all is still young.

“Juan loves the team he plays for. He thinks only of Inter and suffers if things don’t go well. Therefore, as long as he is happy at Inter, I will not listen to the proposals.”
