“I would hope the team wants to make up for that bad result,” continued Sarri.
“Cagliari are alive and kicking, but above all a better side than their current position would suggest. They were never dominated by opponents and have good individuals all over the pitch.”
There was a boost for Empoli when Manuel Pucciarelli surprisingly renewed his contract until 2017, ending his exile.
“We are happy to have him back. He trained normally all week and I hope the clarification gave him further motivation to do well.”
