“From the words of mayor [Federico] Pizzarotti I gleaned a desire to interact with serious Italian businessmen who have some history behind them,” he said, as reported by La Gazzetta di Parma.
“I think my profile meets those criteria, and for this reason I asked the mayor for a meeting.
“Guarantees can't be offered only by words. They require substance.
“In an operation to save the club I could be assisted by some businessmen from London who work in flourishing markets.
“I think I have what it takes to give it a go.”
