The long-awaited bankruptcy tribunal was finally held today and what everyone expected has now occurred – the club is bankrupt and placed under administration.

“Now we’ll talk to the administrator and see what he says,” goalkeeper Mirante told ParmaLive.com.

“We don’t know anything yet, but we have a meeting with him tomorrow. At this point we’re just totally shaken up and try to go forward.

“Will we play Torino on Sunday? It depends on the administrator. Every day a new twist comes out in this story, but at least now we have a reference point to look to.”

President Giampietro Manenti never did deliver on his promises to pay employees – who haven’t received wages since July 2014.

Instead, Manenti was arrested this week and accused of money laundering.

Administration opens the door for Parma to seek new buyers, meaning the club could conceivably begin next season in Serie B rather than be forced to start again from the amateur League.
