“This is a difficult game and we are facing one of the best strike forces in Serie A,” said Coach Sarri in a Press conference.

“They only appear to be coming off a poor period of form, as let’s not forget they have played against the top teams. I consider them to be strong and not a provincial side.

“It will be an important game, but we mustn’t get tense or be hasty in trying to achieve safety as soon as possible.

“We have to play with clear heads and determination, not feeling the pressure more than is necessary.”

Empoli had taken the lead against Sassuolo when these sides met back in October, but eventually lost 3-1.

“That result left a bitter taste in the mouth and hopefully it can spur us on to give even more in this game.”

Sarri has been heavily linked with the Milan bench for next season, but shrugged off questions about his future.

“I owe everything to this club, to the players and the people here. My mind is only on the club and achieving safety.”
