Sampdoria striker Eder’s maiden Italy call-up is “a dream come true,” said the Brazilian’s agent.

Eder was born and raised in Brazil, but has an Italian passport and got the nod from Azzurri boss Antonio Conte.

He is in the squad to face Bulgaria and England on March 28 and 31 respectively.

“I spoke to him last night, he’s going through a happy moment in his career,” agent Andrea Bagnoli told Tuttomercatoweb.

“It’s a dream come true for him. As for the future, he has a contract until 2018 and is very happy at Samp.”

Eder isn’t the only ‘Oriundo’ in the squad, as Palermo’s Argentine creative midfielder Franco Vazquez was also included.

“They could be the start of a long series of call-ups, because evidently Conte sees in Vazquez and Eder the kind of characteristics that suit his football.”
