La Repubblica claims Bee Taechaubol is already studying the books and will buy 25 per cent of Milan for €250m in April.
The reports have been circulating for several weeks, but the newspaper suggests due diligence is well underway.
According to this indiscretion, the Thai broker is going through the club finances with an eye to complete the purchase of shares next month.
Milan value the club at around €980m and the plan is to sell 25-30 per cent for approximately €250m.
This would only be an initial investment, as ‘Mr Bee’ aims to gradually buy up more and more until he becomes the majority shareholder.
Milan fans welcomed the rumour, as they held a protest during last night’s 3-1 win over Cagliari.
The stands at San Siro were left empty save for a large banner that read: ‘Game Over. Insert coin to Save Milan.’
