New reports are emerging which contradict earlier claims that Silvio Berlusconi has agreed to sell Milan to Chinese investors.
It was reported earlier this afternoon that the Rossoneri President had admitted in private conversation that the transfer of 75 per cent of shares was a ‘done deal’.
However, Italian news agency ANSA is now reporting that ‘sources close to Berlusconi’ have denied that any talks have taken place, far less that a deal has been reached.
The unnamed sources claim that a valuation of Milan has not even been undertaken, in direct contrast with earlier reports that there is an agreement in place worth €1 billion.
There has been no official word from either Berlusconi or his company Finninvest, which controls Milan, but ANSA believes an official denial will emerge in the next few days.
