Napoli have slammed rumours that Jose Callejon has agreed a move to Atletico Madrid, calling them ‘without foundation’.
Spanish outlet Cadena Ser reported today that the winger had told friends that a move to the Liga champions had already been agreed.
However, in a statement on the club’s official website, the Partenopei have denied the reports in no uncertain terms.

“In regard to the reports issued today by Spanish radio station Cadena Ser about alleged statements attributed to Jose Callejon and later picked up by other media outlets, Napoli announces that these rumours are without foundation,” the statement reads.
“Callejon, after being made aware of the alleged statements, categorically denies the words attributed to him, expressing his dismay about how such information can be invented.”
