The Palermo striker is certain to leave at the end of the season, and has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus, though several clubs around Europe are thought to be interested.

Corriere dello Sport believes that Mancini has asked Nerazzurri President Erick Thohir to finance a move for Dybala, with a bid of around €25m mooted.

That would be some way short of Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini’s €40m asking price, but the likes of Francesco Bardi and Lorenzo Crisetig could be used as makeweights.

The newspaper reports that Mancini sees an attack featuring Mauro Icardi [22] and Dybala [21], with Mateo Kovacic [20] and Xherdan Shaqiri in behind as a potential Scudetto-challenging one for many years.

The Rome-based sports daily says it would still be hard for Inter to usurp Juventus, who can offer Champions League football, but Dybala would not reject the idea out of hand.
