Sampdoria are ready to hand Eder a new contract which will see him end his career with the club, according to reports.

The Brazilian-born striker made his debut for Italy during the international break, scoring a late equaliser to rescue a point in Bulgaria.

The striker’s current deal runs until 2018, but Il Secolo XIX is reporting that the Blucerchiati are considering extending that until 2021.

The 28-year-old has 12 goals in all competitions for Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side this season, and although the newspaper speculates he could command a transfer fee of around €15m, the Genoese side are unwilling to lose him.

A deal until 2021 would see Eder remain in the port city until his 35th birthday, effectively ensuring he would end his career at Marassi.
