Juventus striker Alessandro Matri believes it was 'not disrespectful' of him to celebrate his goal against Fiorentina, and speaks of his newfound confidence.
The 30-year-old spent half of last season at the Viola club last season, where he was sent on loan from Milan. It is often the case that Serie A players do not celebrate scoring against their former clubs, but Matri, who claimed the opener in yesterday's 3-0 Coppa Italia semi-final, believes he did nothing wrong.

“I spent too long last year without scoring and without celebrating,” he said after the game. “I don't think that celebrating a goal is disrespectful. For a striker, scoring is essential.
“I had the certainty I would play. I'm happy for the goal and for the team's victory.
“Now I'm in a very good condition and when I'm given an opportunity on the pitch, I always give my best.
“Last season I was short of self-esteem and self-confidence, but this year I have them back.”
