The pair went off during Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Parma at Marassi and test results were not reassuring.
Midfielder Bertolacci was stretchered off and has been diagnosed with a relatively serious tear to the gluteus muscle in his right leg.
Medics expect him to be out of action for approximately three weeks.
