Napoli Coach Rafael Benitez has denied rumours he’ll take over at Manchester City at the end of the season.

It was reported yesterday that the Spanish Coach had decided not to renew his deal with the Partenopei, as he’s expecting to be offered the job at Etihad.

“I haven’t said no to Napoli,” Benitez insisted in his Press conference ahead of the Europa League tie with Wolfsburg.

“I haven’t had any contact with Manchester City. I’m a professional, I’ll see what happens, but I have to talk to the club.

"I haven't spoken to them [City] and I have no offer from them.

"Of course, in England City are a club who work very well, but I'm only focused on Napoli just now.

“In any case, I’ll try to get the best out of this team, because with confidence we can give our best. We have an important watch against Wolfsburg now, and we have to think about that.

“If we do well in the League from here on out, and reduce the gap to Lazio to three points, then on the last day we can play them for direct qualification for the Champions League.

“Getting into the Champions League is crucial for the future, because it affects the budget.”
