Milan Coach Filippo Inzaghi has assured that his players are focused on football despite the ongoing rumours about the club being sold to foreign investors.

The Rossoneri take on Udinese tomorrow evening in Serie A and will be fighting to retain any slim hopes of European qualification next season.

“I see a focused squad that is unperturbed by goings on in the club,” Inzaghi said at his pre-match Press conference.

“We are preparing ourselves to the best of our potential and we hope to give our answers on the pitch.

“I want to give the squad continuity. We know that all our matches are finals for us and we must accept the verdict given on the pitch.

“Three points are fundamental. We could’ve done more in January and February, but now we’re getting better, even if the performances can always improve.”

The Diavolo boss admitted he found the idea of new ownership for the San Siro outfit an unusual thought.

“It’s not really in my jurisdiction to talk about, but I don’t think anyone can imagine Milan without [Silvio] Berlusconi because he made the club great and has created one of the strongest and most successful teams in the world.”

He also confirmed that Riccardo Montolivo is due to return from injury soon, although is unlikely to feature until next weekend.

“Montolivo is well and has fully recovered. He could be with the squad in Napoli but probably not on Wednesday as I think that’s still too soon.”
