“I believed we could at least get a draw here and it’s just a shame we gave away the first goal,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.
“It was our third game in a few days and it wasn’t easy, but we went close to an equaliser. I wanted us to use our energy in a more efficient way, but we made two huge mistakes on the goals.
“Missing Diego Perotti is certainly a heavy blow for the rest of this season, as he has such great technique and would’ve had a field day in this game taking men on.
“We have two games on home turf and if we win both of those then we’ve got a better chance of qualifying for Europe.”
Roma were denied a penalty for a Facundo Roncaglia trip on Vasilis Torosidis.
“Roncaglia is a very good defender, but he must try to avoid certain situations.”
