Florence and Palermo will host Italy’s Euro 2016 qualifiers against Malta and Bulgaria, plus a friendly with Portugal in Geneva.

The FIGC announced the venues for its upcoming fixtures in the build-up to the European Championship.

The Azzurri will play Malta at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence on Thursday September 3.

This will be the first Nazionale match in Florence for four years, since beating Slovenia 1-0 in a Euro 2012 qualifier.

On Sunday September 6 they will face Bulgaria at the Stadio Barbera in Palermo.

It is a return to Sicily a year after defeating Azerbaijan here 2-1 in the second Euro 2016 qualifying match.

Antonio Conte’s Italy side will also travel to Switzerland for a friendly against Portugal in Geneva on Tuesday June 16.

The Azzurri have won their last six consecutive encounters with Portugal, though the most recent was in 2008.
