Juventus have reportedly rejected re-signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Paris Saint-Germain as part of a deal for Paul Pogba, but are close to Edinson Cavani.

The French side are one of the front runners to sign sought-after midfielder Pogba this summer and are believed to have offered their talismanic striker in exchange.

Sky Sport have reported that agent Mino Raiola, who represents both of the players, proposed the deal during a discussion with Juventus transfer chiefs Fabio Paratici and Giuseppe Marotta.

Sky Sport have reported that agent Mino Raiola, who represents both of the players, proposed the deal during a discussion with Juventus transfer chiefs Fabio Paratici and Giuseppe Marotta.

The Old Lady are believed to have rejected the move due to the Swedish international’s 33 years of age and the high costs required to bring him back.

However, the Bianconeri are reportedly coming closer to a deal for PSG’s Uruguayan international striker Edinson Cavani.

The former Napoli man is believed to be demanding €8m per season, a figure above and beyond what Juventus are willing to offer.

Sky believe that if the club can come to an agreement with Cavani, the French club will not stand in the way of his departure.
