Milan have released a statement confirming the departure of Robinho, and thanking the Brazilian for his contribution.
The player’s agent announced yesterday that the striker would end his contract a year early, and the former Manchester City man is expected to join Santos, where he has been on loan, permanently.“Robinho, Milan says thank you and goodbye,” the Rossoneri announced in a statement on their official website.
“Robinho wore Rossonero from the summer of 2010 until the summer of 2014, and made a significant contribution in terms of goals and performance to the 18th Scudetto won by Milan 2010-11, as well as the Supercoppa in Beijing in August 2011.
“Although the relationship between the club and the Brazilian has been terminated one year before the end of his contract, we do not forget the quality contribution of Robingo to the Milan cause.
