“We are talking with Inter. They made an offer of €10.5m plus bonuses and Malaga replied they would accept €11.5m.

There were some reports in Spain that Inter had already struck a deal for Darder.

“That’s not true,” agent Junior Minguella told Calciomercato.com.

“We are talking with Inter. They made an offer of €10.5m plus bonuses and Malaga replied they would accept €11.5m.

“However, Inter asked for time because of the problems with Financial Fair Play. Roma are interested, even if they haven’t actually made an offer yet, though there has been contact.

“We spoke to other teams too, but it depends on Inter. He has the characteristics to do well in Italy and can be compared to Arturo Vidal for his style of play.”

The 21-year-old grew up in the Espanyol youth academy and joined Malaga in July 2013.

Minguella also spoke to Cadena Cope in Spain about the situation with Darder.

“We are talking with Inter and will see what happens, but we mustn’t forget the Nerazzurri aren’t the only club interested in the player.

“Porto? Maybe… On the transfer market we mustn’t make rushed decisions. It is important to evaluate every offer and, just to name one, we could also evaluate Newcastle.

“Malaga bet on him, now we need an agreement that can suit both parties.”
