“I saw my team highly motivated. Obviously I can’t say they were happy, but the players are really eager to do their best,” said Festa.

“I am convinced they won’t think about Atalanta’s results. The objective is to get as many points as possible in the next three rounds. We’re not relegated yet.

“Palermo have great individual talents and a good overall squad, but we are in a positive run of form.

“Of course we’d be crazy not to realise the situation is dire, but we wear a prestigious club jersey and represent an entire region as well as ourselves.

“There are hundreds of reasons to be motivated, not just one. We want to end the campaign with our heads held high.

“I don’t want to hear about Atalanta’s result on the bench either. I just want to focus exclusively on my team.”
