According to Sky Sport Italia and several other sources, the meeting saw Thohir give Mancini the all-clear to sign Yaya Toure and Jovetic from his old club Manchester City.

Yaya Toure’s agent said he was “90 per cent” likely to leave Eastlands this summer and, despite suggestions in today’s English papers that Chelsea are interested, his only plan appears to be Inter.

There is a problem, as it’s reported Inter have no intention of paying anything for the Ivory Coast international, so he’d have to either arrive on loan or terminate his contract by mutual consent.

He’s already agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri for a four-year deal worth €5m plus bonuses.

Jovetic made his unhappiness with City well known after he was dropped from the Champions League squad from February onwards.

The Montenegro international has a contract until June 2018 and his price-tag is in the region of €20m.

Inter therefore aim to take him on loan with mandatory option to buy at the end of the season for €15m.
