Inter vice-President Javier Zanetti believes a deal for Yaya Toure is very close and that Thiago Motta could offer a lot to the Nerazzurri.
The San Siro club are strong favourites to land Manchester City midfielder Toure this summer and Paris Saint-Germain’s Motta has been linked with a return to the club.
"Yaya? We are at the stage where we hope that we can finalise a deal, he would help us make a step up in quality,” Zanetti said to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“If Thiago [Motta] was to arrive he would give us a lot and know the surroundings.
“He has experience and quality – he’s one of the strongest midfielders I've ever played with.
“He is very intelligent, he understands how to run a game and at times when you are in trouble he can take the ball and manage the situation.
“Bringing in players like these would mark a step up in quality.”
Motta was part of the treble-winning Inter side of 2010 and scored 12 goals in 83 appearances for the Nerazzurri between 2009 and 2012.
