Juventus could sell their half of Domenico Berardi to Sassuolo, albeit with a buyback clause, according to reports.

The 20-year-old striker is co-owned by the two clubs, and has enjoyed a stellar season for the Neroverdi once again, with 14 goals and nine assists in 31 games.

Tuttosport reports that Juve general manager Giuseppe Marotta will have a series of meetings with the player’s agent over the next few weeks, as well as with Sassuolo.

The Bianconeri can sign Berardi for €15m in the first 10 days of June, or €20m thereafter. Since all co-ownerships must be resolved this summer, the other option is for both clubs to ‘go to the envelopes’ in a blind auction.

Tuttosport suggests that rather than allowing that to happen, the Old Lady will sell their share in Berardi, much as happened with Simone Zaza.

A clause would then be inserted into the deal allowing Juventus to sign Berardi for a set fee over the next two years.
