Milan step up Ibrahimovic chase

Now that Milan have sold 48 per cent to Bee Taechaubol, they are stepping up attempts to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic back.

President Silvio Berlusconi confirmed the deal with Thai investor ‘Mr Bee’ on Friday and it’s expected to cost €500m.

New Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic isn’t formally in place yet, but the delay is mainly to terminate Pippo Inzaghi’s contract by mutual consent rather than pay his wages for another year.

The transfer strategy with fresh funds now comes into play and Sky Sport Italia claim a meeting is due today or at most tomorrow between CEO Adriano Galliani and agent Mino Raiola.

“It doesn’t hurt to dream,” was Raiola’s response when asked whether Ibra could return to San Siro from PSG.

The reports state the Swedish international wants wages of €7m per season, but with his track record in League titles and new income from Mr Bee, that might not be a problem.
