Giampaolo Pazzini has opened talks over a Sampdoria return, but there is disagreement over his wage demands.

The striker’s Milan contract expires on 30 June, and is unlikely to be renewed after just four starts in Serie A this season.

The Italian spent two-and-a-half seasons with the Blucerchiati from 2008 to 2011, scoring 48 goals in 87 games, and Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports a meeting took place today over a possible return.

It’s thought that Pazzini and his agent are requesting a four-year deal worth €2m per season, something which Sampdoria deem to be excessive.

Negotiations will continue in future, with Samp hoping to convince the 30-year-old to lower his demands.
