The striker is currently in Chile for the Copa America, where Colombia make their debut tonight against Venezuela.

“Jackson didn’t say anything about Milan because there was no need to. Nothing has been decided yet,” agent Luiz Henrique Pompeo told Portuguese paper Record.

“I am the only person who will speak about this during the tournament. Jackson is not just sitting around on his couch at home. He is concentrated on his work with Colombia in the Copa America.

“This is his absolute priority right now and I can say he is absolutely relaxed.”

On Friday evening Porto President Pinto da Costa said “Martinez has chosen Milan,” while Rossoneri chief Silvio Berlusconi confirmed “we are on the final strait in the negotiations for Jackson Martinez.”

Arsenal and Manchester City remain interested, but Milan are prepared to pay the €35m release clause in his Porto contract.

It was reported today that the Italian club would send its doctors out to perform a medical in Chile during the Copa America.

Spanish paper Marca claim the striker wanted Atletico Madrid, but that the two clubs were not even close to agreeing terms.
